We have been transferring files to a bank's secure server using ftp
from SCO 5.0 for quite a while. We do not have a problem and we send
an encrypted file which our bank prefers to receive. Granted there is
some setup required and things like password keys to exchange but all
of that is fairly easy to set up and administer.
I believe that the secure ftp method is much preferable. If you would
like to discuss the procedures we use contact me off-list to arrange
for phone contact.
