Exactly.

Curl would work, but curl is a PITA to use, and isn't always built with SSL
support. I know a large number of sites that specifically disable it
because it slows down curl in general if you have SSL enabled--even when
you're not using it. That's why I had to build a custom libcurl for
Solaris on my ISP's shell server, as I need it for centericq to use MSN
Messenger.
I prefer RawQuery's file-oriented way of handling things, and there's
greater versatility in the ability to have static-state files that you only
have to minorly edit with any changes for debugging, as well.
