We've been selling door weatherstriping for that model car since 1973 or
so, and this is the first time I've ever installed it for a coupe.
When we were installing it on the set, the strip came up 2 feet short.
We list the part for all closed cars (non-covertibles) and sell several
a week, every week for 30 years, surely someone would have said that the
14 foot strip we supply is too short. It fits fine on the 4 door sedans,
which is all you ever see at car shows. I measured the door and the
perimeter was almost 17 foot. Oops! How did that ever happen?
Well it was before my time (I didn't start here till 1985), so I'll not
lay blame.
And all this information is stored in a filePro database.
