Ken thanks for answering so quickly.
Sometime you don't see the forest for the trees.
After reading your email I thought I'd try it again before answering you. I
deleted the old files and uzipped the password file again. Then I noticed
it created a sub folder. I hadn't noticed it before. I renamed the file to
licfp.dat and bingo it works.
Thanks, I'll be able to sleep this weekend.
BTW can you tell me if odbcconf.txt and uninst.isu are files created by
fpodbc during an install. I see them on the old drive after moving
everything else. If they are I will move them as well.
