It's all very difficult. But most of the newer wireless keyboards, in
cluding the one you have I think, have a wheel for volume. Regardless, I
have so many setups, I don't know which I like best. Mostly, I just listen
to the speakers and use the microphone... with my screen reader going in a
headset that is partially off one ear. That way it doesn't bother people
listening. I also have two different kinds of headsets. One lets me listen
in to whatever is on the speakers, which can be my Internet phone serice, so
I have best of both worlds that way. Then I have a 900Mhz headset which is
better quality... Then, I have a very special dual input headset that allows
screen reader in one ear and computer sound in the other... and also ties to
phone... big $$$ from Plantronics, but it is the bomb... what you were
saying would kick butt. Problem is, I generally don't like headphones in the
first place. People are coming in and out of my office all day... it is just
easier to manipulate the speaker volume and stay half-duplex like we are on
the room.
It's fun to hear everyone talking in their own offices once in awhile...
like Nancy helping one of her clients, or Tony Ryder in Australia getting a
call from some crocodile... or porpoise. :-)
Occasionally, when I grep for an answer from the horse's mouth... and let
everyone listen in on speaker... it's very helpful... other times it's even
better when the horse's mouth logs in himself... :-)
