It is absolutely perfect for that.
I had a system where something became corrupt deep down in
the /var/opt/.... tree.
At first I thought it was one or two files, but it became apparent
it was much more than that when kernel builds would not work with
strange failure.
The ap is perfect for migrating within the OSR5 series.
It makes things truly painless.
