I have used associated fields for many things and an index such as you
have designed works fine in all my tests. John demonstrated the results
perfectly.
What I did not see was what version of filePro you are using?
I only have two suggestions, if the version is 5.0, 1) is to say delete
the index and build it fresh, 2) Make sure the first character in the
field is text and not a space.
If the version is older - get it upgraded.
