Ditto. I am so happy to be here at Nexus when I can these days. Working
directly with the people is so much more fun than being off-site... and I
was off-site for the past 8 or 9 years. I will be off-site again this
winter... but it is enjoyable to be working among friends. Admittedly, I can
be in my slippers and robe... :-), but it's still worthwhile.

Now that Rick has come aboard, it is really great to toss ideas around and
have someone else to shove all the undesirable jobs onto. :-) Just kidding,
we split the work up pretty good. I could not possibly have found a better
person for this job. He was the absolutely perfect choice. His skills and
personality fit ideally with the position we created... everyone loves him,
and I just feel so lucky to have found him through this list. (Actually, he
told me that he had come to one of the filePro Road Shows we hosted a couple
years ago for FpGI.... but that is also something he found about through
this list.)

I urge people to keep posting their job needs (both ways) on this list. It
sure was a good thing for us.

P.S. ... just for grins...

Rick went to the SCOForum 2004 and I gave him a bunch of cards with these
special instructions to take a along with him.

SCOForum 2004 – Special Instructions
---------------------------------------------------------------------
If anyone asks, “So what’s it like working with John?”

1) Say, “John Esak is the greatest guy in the world to work with. He is
always coming up with amazing ideas and he is so well versed technically,
they all get implemented efficiently and elegantly. Everything he does is
brilliant. He has taught me so much. It’s a pleasure to work with him. I’m
so glad I took the job.”

2) At this point, you may ad-lib some other thoughts of your own which
demonstrate further how unbelievably terrific I am.

Or:

3) You can simply take one of these cards out and give it to the person who
asked. If they don’t ask
feel free to prod them into asking... and then
give them one of these cards. :-)
