Virus isn't an issue for me, as our mail here never touches a windows box,
unless you count reading it through PuTTY, which has no command execution
hooks (thankfully).

My ISP has SA and a few other things in the mix, a large dose of RBL's,
etc. It's smacking over 12000 messages to the floor every 14 days now.
And -still- hundreds sneak through. So I, too, took matters into my own
hands. One piece of software that I wrote and debugged over a week's time,
and I have yet to get a spam that isn't forged as someone from a valid
address whose address I would -not- want to block (PayPal, for instance).
I'm cutting out 99.9% of the extra 5-7% that the regular filters miss.

Ditto. And ditto for my wife's as well.

Now if I could just keep people from hijacking my domain names for spam
forgeries. I've gotten about 50 rejection notices in the last few days. I
don't block mailer-daemon for the obvious reasons. THAT frosts my arse,
but it's not really worth going after someone in Russia.
