OT: the virus craze gets crazier

This was so funny (to me, at least), I thought I'd share.

I saw a mail from support at symantec.com.  Upon inspection, it says that the
file I submitted to them (I did no such thing) contains mydoom.j.  I should
clean my system with the attached DAT files.

It has a "datfiles.zip" attached.

The funny part?  RIGHT after the signature of a probably forged name, it
said:

+++ No virus found.
+++ McAfee AntiVirus www.mcafee.com

Uhm...Symantec is Norton, not McAfee.  McAfee is NAI.  *laugh*  :)

I thought that was actually pretty darn amusing.  Nice scam, if they could
keep their companies and products correlated correctly.  :)
