DIM Question

I have dimensioned an array in automatic processing, when I try to use
the array in input I get a compilation error.  I then have to dimension
the array in input processing.

 

Example: automatic --> dim qty(10)(10,,2,g)

 

Shouldn't the array be recognized in input processing if it is defined
in automatic processing?
