Well, that is technically correct, as Solaris isn't "UNIX[tm]", any more
than Linux or BSD are. (I wonder what the FBSD version returns...)
When you start getting into portability, it's wisest to code robustly and
avoid potentially false assumptions. If you want to say '@OS ne "DOS"',
that's cool. But all *n*x are not alike, and should not pretend to be each
other when a report is requested, IMHO. I really think fP-Tech has this
right, even if it doesn't suit your current use of it.
