Is it just me, or did Bill Vermillion say:

Well with my monitor in its current state, they're all easier.  *laugh*

But ordinarily, I don't like the dark purple, dark red, and the deep dark
blue, the last one being the worst offender.  I -can- read it, it's just
harder.  When I read, I don't want to strain just to see the code--I have
enough trouble straining to think -about- the code, thanks.  :)

I usually remap all the low-colors to be the high-colors where possible.
The added contrast helps a lot.  Of coure, then it can get to be a
headache, but there's no happy medium unless you get a program that lets
you customize the palette entirely--something you can't do on a *nix
console (VC, not in X).
