Which reminds me of a funny true story.
Back about 1980 or so Judas Priest came to our studio [Bee Jay
Studios Orlando Florida, where is was cheap - er chief engineer]
to cut an album. They had done 12 and each had sold less than the
previous one. This was to be the make-it-or-break-it album. They
had cut the tracks in Ibitza, but the recorder there was on it's
last legs so Tom Allom had them recut all the tracks here too.
It turned out to be the make-it album, as 20 years after it was
released it's still selling, and last I heart it was triple
platinum. That album made them into super stars and a few months
later we mixed the MTV concert video from their tour.
The studio was less than two years old, still smelled new
everywhere and all the bathroom fixtures still had the light blue
manufacturers name on them.
I went in and was standing at the urinal when Rob Halford walked in
to use the sink. He looked over and saw the manufacturers brand
name - Adamant. He then said "I wonder if that's where Adam Ant
got his name?"
Are you sure your aren't Rob in disguise - with diamonds - oops
wrong song.
